This policy explains what information is collected when you use sammywambugu.com (the "site"), which is run by Samuel Wambugu Waweru, trading as Liquid Code Studios, from Mombasa, Kenya. I keep it short and plain on purpose.

What I collect and why
- Contact form. When you fill in the contact form, your name, email, subject and message are put into a pre-written WhatsApp message. Nothing is sent to a server on this site. The message only reaches me when you press send in WhatsApp, and it is then handled under WhatsApp's own privacy policy.
- Direct messages and email. If you contact me by email or WhatsApp, I keep that conversation so I can reply and, if we work together, remember what was agreed.
- Shop purchases. Shop purchases are processed by Gumroad. I receive your email address and order details so I can deliver your download. I never see or store your card number.
- Visit statistics. The site uses a lightweight analytics service to count visits: which pages are viewed, the country you are visiting from, and your browser and device type. It is used only to see what is useful and what is not, and not to identify you personally. Analytics only runs on the live site, and it is skipped if your browser sends a Do Not Track signal.
- Your browser's storage. The site saves your light or dark theme choice in your browser's local storage so it is remembered next time. It does not set advertising or tracking cookies.
Third-party services
To work properly, pages load fonts and icons from Google Fonts and the cdnjs content network. Those providers can see your IP address when your browser fetches those files. Links to YouTube, Instagram and Gumroad take you to their sites, which have their own privacy policies.
Client projects
If you hire me, I handle the information you give me (logins, brand files, customer data) only to do the agreed work. I do not sell it or share it, except with the hosting, domain or payment providers needed to deliver the project. You can ask me to delete it when the project ends.
Who I share data with
I do not sell your personal information. I only share it with the service providers named above when that is needed to run the site, take payment, deliver a purchase, or when the law requires it.
How long I keep it
Messages and project records are kept for as long as they are useful for the work or required for my records, and then deleted. Purchase records are kept as long as needed for receipts, support and accounting.
Your rights
Under Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019, you can ask to see the personal data I hold about you, correct it, ask me to delete it, or object to how it is used. Email wambugusammy99@gmail.com and I will respond as soon as I can.
Children
This site is not aimed at children under 18, and I do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
If something here changes, I will update this page and the date at the top. For anything that matters to you, the latest version is always the one on this page.
