These terms apply to your use of sammywambugu.com, to work you hire me for, and to anything you buy from the shop. By using the site or hiring me, you agree to them. "I", "me" and "Liquid Code Studios" mean Samuel Wambugu Waweru, trading as Liquid Code Studios, based in Mombasa, Kenya.
Services
I offer web design and development, photography, motion graphics, livestreaming and photo presets. The pricing page shows the website packages and what each includes. Every project starts with a call, and the scope, price and timeline are confirmed in writing before work begins.
Quotes and payment
- Prices on the site are a guide. The quote you agree to is the one that counts.
- Payment for projects is split across milestones agreed in the quote.
- Domain costs are billed at cost. Hosting is covered by the Monthly Care Plan fee when you take one.
- Work beyond the agreed scope is quoted separately before I start it.
Your content and ownership
You confirm that you have the right to use any text, images, logos and other material you give me. Unless we agree otherwise in writing, ownership of the final deliverables passes to you once you have paid in full. I keep the right to show finished work in my portfolio unless you ask me in writing not to. Tools, code libraries and templates I reuse across projects stay mine, and you get the right to use them as part of your finished site.
Shop purchases
- Digital products are licensed to you for your own use. The Standard version of a product is for personal use. The Commercial version adds a licence for client and business work, as described on its product page. You may not resell, share or redistribute the files themselves.
- Products are delivered digitally. Because they cannot be returned, sales are generally final once the files are downloaded. If a file is faulty or does not work as described, message me and I will fix it or replace it.
- Shop purchases are made through Gumroad and are also subject to Gumroad's terms.
- Nothing here limits the rights you have under Kenyan consumer protection law.
Using this site
The design, text, code and images on this site belong to me or are used with permission. You may link to the site and share its pages, but please do not copy or republish its content or design without asking. Please do not try to disrupt, scrape or break into the site.
No guarantees
I take care to keep the site accurate and working, but it is provided as it is. Information on it may change without notice. For websites I build, I cannot promise a particular Google ranking, sales figure or number of visitors, because those depend on things outside my control.
Limits of my liability
To the extent the law allows, I am not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profit or lost data, that arise from using this site or from my work. My total liability for any project is limited to the amount you paid me for it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Privacy
How I handle personal information is explained in the privacy policy.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, and any dispute is for the courts of Kenya. If something goes wrong, please talk to me first. Most things can be fixed with a conversation.
